Dave was a decade and a half into his career as an electronics engineer when he launched WDVR in May 1963 (read article from Philco News). At the time FM radio was of no interest to advertisers or listeners but Dave's vision of the future turned out to be correct. With partner Jerry Lee, Dave built a legendary radio station, known later as WEAZ and now the legendary B101, the last major market independent in the country.
