· Entry deadline: 5
p.m. September 3rd, 2009 at the offices of The
March of Dimes of Southeastern Pennsylvania
(address appears at bottom) **OR** at the Bala
Cynwyd drop-off: Beasley Broadcasting WXTU/WRDW
lobby, 555 City Avenue, 3rd floor.
· Material
submitted must originate for broadcast or
distribution in the Philadelphia market.
Broadcast material must have aired in this market
between 9/9/08 and 9/3/09.
· All audio
submissions must be on audio CD (not
data or digital file types MP3, MP2, WAV, etc.)labeled
with entry's title and length, entrant's name and
phone number, and category entered. For greatest
clarity please print all labels.
· All
entries must be accompanied by TWO COPIES
of the audio CD.
· All
entries must be accompanied by TWO copies
of the entry form.
· Each
submission must include a fee of 25 dollars per
entered item made payable to The March of Dimes.
· Eligible
parties are not restricted as to the number of
categories they may enter or the number of
entries they may submit, except for talent as
noted in the category descriptions.
· No award
will be given in categories failing to attract
two or more entries from different parties,
"parties" defined as individuals or
combinations of individuals regardless of
employer. EXCEPTION: in radio station commercial
category, "parties" shall mean
individuals or combinations of individuals with
different employers.
· Except as
noted in categories open to freelancers, and
except when entering as a freelancer, radio
entrants must be currently employed by the
station that broadcast the entered material.
· Entrants in
Talent, News and Traffic categories must be
currently and regularly employed in the category
and air shift for which they enter.
· Limit one
entry per radio station in the Weekday Host
categories.
· Host talent
may enter only one host category.
· Full time
on-air radio station talent who began working in
the Philadelphia radio market on or after 9/9/08
will compete only in the "Best New Air
Talent" category.
· Entered
commercials must have aired on at least one radio
station within the eligibility region and time
period. Each commercial submitted requires
separate CD, entry form and fee. Entry to include
call letters of station(s) that aired the
commercial and dates of broadcast.
· The
official March of Dimes press release announcing
the finalists for the 2009 Philadelphia AIR
Awards will include a maximum of two entries per
organization (radio station, agency, production
studio or specialist) as finalists in any
category. This limitation may be waived for
categories drawing five or fewer entries. Entries
from multi-station content suppliers are exempt.
· Both the
March of Dimes and the Philadelphia AIR Awards
Board of Governors reserve the right to refuse,
revise or recategorize entries that are
incomplete or contain obvious errors. Entrants
will be contacted for clarification if time
permits.
· Submitted
materials become property of The March Of Dimes
and will not be returned.
